Character: Pomegranate in color with a crystal clear appearance, nose and mouth aromas of fresh red fruit and mainly cherries.

Wine making: The cultivation is organic and the soils of the varieties are calcareous. The vines are 50 years old and are located at an altitude of about 100 meters. The harvest takes place in the second half of August and the wine produced has a rich aromatic character, balanced acids and a complete finish.

Producer information: The Sclavos family was originally a shipping family who emigrated to Russia in 1700. In 1919, after the 1917 revolution in Russia, they returned to Kefalonia where they planted the first vines on the private estate (50 hectares) in the Kechrion area. In 1990, the old vineyard was reorganized and they cultivated the Mavrodafni Kefallinias and Vostilidi varieties using a biodynamic-homodynamical method. Their goal is to make natural organic wines with all the special characteristics of the local varieties.

Grapes are carefully selected and Unsuitable grapes are removed. The vinification is done with modern methods. Fermentation occurs spontaneously and all wines are bottled unfiltered without extra processes, while the addition of sulfites is minimal and only when necessary. The goal is to grow all grapes biodynamically within the next five years.

Serve with: meat in general, especially chicken, lamb, turkey, duck, goose, and game birds.
