Som tam
Som tam, a famous dish from Thai cuisine, is a spicy papaya salad that originated in the northeast of Thailand. The salad consists of young, unripe green papaya mixed with bold flavors such as chili peppers, fermented mushroom sauce, lime juice, and peanuts. -

Peanut soup
Peanut soup, made from ground peanuts, broth, and sambal, is especially popular in Suriname. The dish is often served during holidays and special occasions because of its nutritious qualities and the unique flavor provided by local spices. We have chosen to serve the soup with roasted coconut. -

Japanese hotdog | vegetarian
The Japanese vegetarian hotdog is a modern example of fusion cuisine. This version replaces the classic hotdog with a plant-based alternative, garnished with wasabi mayonnaise and yakitori gel. In addition, the dish is finished with furikake, a flavorful Japanese spice mix, and the hotdog is served in a brioche bun. -

Orange cauliflower
Orange cauliflower is a plant-based variant of the well-known American-Chinese dish: orange chicken. Instead of fried chicken, crispy cauliflower is used, covered with a sweet and sour orange sauce. This dish offers the same delicious combination of crunchy texture and the distinctive sweet citrus flavor. -

Taco with king oyster mushroom
Tacos are an iconic dish from Mexican cuisine that is known worldwide. For this vegetarian box, we have chosen soft corn tortillas, filled with king oyster mushroom, a mushroom with a deep umami flavor, and fresh red cabbage. This combination provides a tasty filling, where the earthiness of the mushroom beautifully complements the crunchy texture and slight tang of the red cabbage. -

Elote
Elote, or Mexican grilled corn, is a beloved street food throughout Mexico. The corn cob is grilled over an open fire, caramelizing the sugars in the corn and giving it a delicious smoky flavor. Next, the corn is coated with a mixture of mayonnaise and crème fraîche, sprinkled with Tajín, a spicy chili powder with lime, and grated pecorino. -

Cannoli
Cannoli are Sicilian sweets that originated in ancient Sicily. The dish consists of crispy, fried pastry rolls filled with a creamy sweet ricotta filling, often mixed with vanilla, chocolate, or candied fruit, and in this case, pistachio cream. Tip: garnish the cannoli with powdered sugar. -

Pastel de nata
Pastel de Nata is a traditional Portuguese delicacy, consisting of a crispy puff pastry crust filled with a silky custard filling. These small, sweet tarts are baked until lightly caramelized, resulting in a delicious combination of creamy and crunchy textures. -

Ceviche verde | yellow beet
For the vegetarian version of ceviche verde, we have chosen yellow beet instead of fish. The beet is subtly marinated and combined with an aromatic oil of kaffir lime leaf. The bright, citrusy flavor of the lime leaf gives the beet a fresh, invigorating touch, while the natural sweetness of the yellow beet provides a beautiful balance.
