Jorge buys old, often mixed-planted plots in this unique region and now owns about 30 ha divided over 200 plots. He learned the trade at DRC, Vega Sicilia, and Arzuaga Navarro. In the old to very old vineyards, tempranillo is still often on its own rootstock. All vineyards are cultivated biodynamically. In practice, Jorge often only needs to fertilize lightly organically because these old vineyards are healthy and in balance. The temperature difference between day and night here is enormous: in summer, it can reach up to 20 degrees. This allows the grape to ripen optimally and beautiful aromas develop.
